In order to meet ASME NQA-1-2008, the U.S. Standard for nuclear quality with NRC, STAT-A-MATRIX has established an extensive quality support program that meets ASME NQA-1 ANSI, N45.2.23 Qualification of Quality Assurance Audit Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants, and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Nuclear Quality Assurance Requirements.
The support program of consulting, training, and service products has been designed to help organizations and individuals prepare for these nuclear requirements NQA-1. The driving factors are:
- New nuclear power plants are to use the endorsed NQA Standard.
- Utility power plant fleet operations are to move to this endorsed standard.
- Engineering and construction contractor adoption for a new generation of products and services.

New mini-drive for Positioning, Opening, Closing and Metering
The new 20mm UAL linear drive is a miniature powerhouse. With a resolution of 21 µm per full step, it has a constant positioning force of up to 30 N over the whole travel of 15mm. The compact design envelope with its outside diameter of 20 mm is supported by direct cable output. The drive can be designed as a bipolar or unipolar stepper motor or as a synchronous motor (max. 50 VAC). The UAL motor employs a unique, removable bayonet mounting flange that allows easy customization.

A doctor of psychology was doing his normal rounds one day when he entered a patient’s room. He found one of his patients sitting on the floor, pretending to saw a piece of wood in half and the other patient was hanging from the ceiling, by his feet.
The doctor asked the first patient what he was doing. The patient replied, “Can’t you see I’m sawing this piece of wood in half?” The doctor then asked why the other patient was doing hanging from the ceiling, and the reply was replied, “Oh. He’s my friend, but he’s a little crazy. He thinks he’s a light bulb.” The doctor looks up and notices that the patient hanging from the ceiling was going all red in the face.
The doctor then asks the first patient, “If he’s your friend, you should get him down from there before he hurts himself”
The first patient looks hat him in horror and says, “What? And work in the dark?”
